Grand Rounds Recap 01.27.2021
This week Dr. Hughes took us through the months Morbidity and Mortality cases. Dr. Shaw taught us what he has learned from the television show Scrubs. We learned about nausea and vomiting in pregnancy from Dr. Ferreri and ended the day with a minor care themed R3 small groups.
Grand Rounds Recap 8.26.2020
This week we have domgalysis with Dr. Hall, discussing rectal exams in trauma, skeletal traction and repeat head imaging in TBI. We also have a fantastic set of learning pearls from M&M cases with Dr. Li and a case of myesthenic crisis with Dr. Urbanowicz. Finally we have a literature review surrounding the impending Qi/KT algorithm on peritonitis with Drs. Ramsey and Mullen
Grand Rounds Recap 1.17.18
This week's Grand Rounds started out with another installment of our leadership curriculum led by Dr. Stettler, where we discussed how to identify and manage finance in leadership. This was then followed by Dr. Makinen's small group session on thyroid diagnostics in the ED. Drs. Gauger and Loftus then went head-to-head on a case of syncope, found to have a massive PE. Dr. Miller then gave a great summary of current thoughts and future approaches to sepsis, followed by Dr. Murphy discussing post-ENT procedure bleeds in the ED. Dr. Curry then finished off the conference with his "Mastering Minor Care" segment on epistaxis.
